Vietnam Fried Chicken Pieces Recipe

Total Cooking time: 25minutes

Ingredient A:
1.5kg (35ounce) chicken pieces

Ingredient B:
1.5 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1 teaspoon five spice powder

Ingredient C:
Oil, prefer Olive or Sunflower oil for deep frying
1 tablespoon fish sauce
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 red chili, chop to serve

Method:
Place the chicken pieces in a pan, fully cover with water and bring to the boil. Skim any scum from the surface. Add the Ingredient B and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove the chicken from water and dry it with paper towels. Heat the oil in a deep pan; add the chicken pieces, and fry until golden and crisp. Remove the chicken and drain away oil on paper towels. Serve on a plate and sprinkle fish sauce, lime juice and chilli on fried chicken.
