Spare Ribs in Coffee Sauce Recipe

Total Preparation time: 5 minutes+ 3 hours marinate time

Total Cooking time: 6 minutes


Ingredients:
250ml (1 cup) oil for deep frying
1 kg spare rib, cut into serving size

Seasoning ingredients:
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon custard powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 egg
2 tablespoon plain flour
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon soda bicarbonate
250ml (1 cup) water
250g corn flour

Sauce ingredients:
2 tablespoon maltose
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoon coffee powder
2 tablespoon sugar
125ml (1/2 cup) water

Method:
Mix spare ribs and marinade ingredient together, toss to coat the ribs. Season for 3 hours, could keep inside refrigerator up to 6 hours . When ready to cook, heat up oil in wok or pan over medium heat, deep fry ribs for 5 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and drain with paper towel. Heat up new pan or wok over medium heat, stir in all sauce ingredient, stir continuously for 3 minutes until thick. Pour in ribs, mix well. Ready to serve.
