Fried Fish Soy Sauce Recipe

Total Cooking time: 10 minutes
 

Ingredients:
2 slices fish fillet, rinse and drain
½ teaspoon Salt
1 pinch Ground white pepper

Seasoning Ingredients:
1 teaspoon Sugar
½ teaspoon Caltrop starch
¼ cup Water
1 ½ teaspoon Light soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 pinch Ground white pepper

Method:
Sprinkle salt and ground white pepper on top of fish. Rub evenly and leave for at least 10 minutes. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a wok. Put in the fish and fry until both sides turn to golden color. Add Seasoning Ingredients. Reduce to low heat and simmer until the sauce thickens. Serve.

Cooking tips:
Control the heat carefully when cooking the sauce as there is not much water available. It may burn if cook over high heat. This dish usually cooked using threadfin fish fillet in Chinese cuisine.
