Vegetable with Oatmeal Porridge Recipe

Preparation time: 2 minutes + 3 hours soaking time

Cooking time: 15 minutes

 

Ingredients:
125g spinach, finely chopped

1 carrot, finely shredded
8 tablespoons roll oatmeal
1 pinch salt
3 cups (750ml) water

Method:
Bring water to the boil in a saucepan under medium heat. Put in oatmeal and bring to the boil, do not cover. Switch to low heat and continue to cook for 10 minutes. Add carrot, spinach and salt. Cook for another 2 minutes. Ready to serve.

Cooking Tips:
Oatmeal lowers cholesterol because it’s rich in gluten. It can prevent cardiovascular diseases and help to in body detoxification. Additional vegetable like Chinese white cabbage, Chinese flowering cabbage, or tomato can be mixed together with spinach.
