Stewed Peanuts and Black Beans Snack Recipe

Ingredients:
500g peanuts
300g black beans (with green flesh)
1 liter (4 cups) water

Seasoning Ingredients:
3 tablespoon salt
2 star aniseeds
1 teaspoon Sichuan pepper

Method:
Soak peanuts with hot water for 10 minutes. Wash thoroughly, drain and rub to remove the skin. Soak black beans with cold water for 10 minutes, wash and drain. In a pot, add in water to cover the black beans, cook over low heat for 60 minutes. Add peanuts, stir well and cook for another 40 minutes or until the water level is lower than ingredients inside the pot. Add seasoning ingredients. Bring to boil over high heat. Reduce to low heat and continue to cook until dry. Ready to serve.
