Fried Bitter Gourd and mushroom Recipe

Number of serving: 4

Cooking time: 120 minutes


Ingredient A

  • 200g bitter gourd, rinse, remove seeds and cut into 1cm thick slices

  • 120g Chinese mushroom, rinse and soak until soft, cut into thin slices

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Ingredient B

  • 120g needle mushroom, rinse and remove the hard portion

  • 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce

  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

Ingredient C

  • 2 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 5 thin slices ginger, rinse

  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped


  1. Heat up pan together with sesame oil.

  2. Put in ginger and garlic, fry for 15 second or until fragrant.

  3. Add Ingredient A.  Stir fry for 5 minutes or until bitter gourd become soft.

  4. Add ingredient B. Stir fry for 2 minutes.

  5. Could serve together with rice.

Health tips: This dish reduce cholesterol and rich in fibers, could serve as slimming recipe because it reduce fat intake.
