Fava Beans with Bacon Recipe

Ingredient A:

1.4kilogram (3 pounds) fava beans, shelled

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

60gram (1/2 cup) bacon, shredded

1 teaspoon sesame seed oil


Ingredient B:

2 tablespoons sake

1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

80ml (1/3 cup) dashi stock (get dashi stock/soup recipe in Anti Aging Recipes section)

1 tablespoon light soy sauce

2 teaspoon sugar



Boil the water in a saucepan, put in the shelled fava beans for 3 1/2 minutes, do not overcook, then drain off the water.  Heat a frying pan with medium heat, add oil and bacon, saute.  Add ingredient B and cook for 4 mintues, skimming off the floating scum.  Change to high heat and add fava beans, cook for another 3 minutes.  Turn off the heat and immediately add the sesame oil.  Ready to Serve.


Health tips: Fava bean is rice in vitamin B that help to sooth tiredness and prevent arteries from hardening.
