Chinese White Cabbage with Conch and Figs Recipe

Ingredients:
500g Chinese white cabbage, wash, rinse and drain
45g dried figs
300g frozen conch
250g lean pork, wash and cut into bite size
2 slices ginger
2 liter (8 cups) water

Method:
Defrost conch and Scald the sparerib: put the sparerib in a heat proof bowl, add in boiling water, drain. Gut and wash. Bring water to the boil in a saucepan. Put in conch, lean pork and ginger. Cook for 15 minutes on high heat. Reduced to low heat and cook for another 60 minutes. Add cabbage and figs. Continue to cook over medium heat for 45 minutes. Sprinkle salt on top and ready to serve.

Cooking tips:
Diabetes patients can make the soup with dried figs without sugar, could be found in shops selling healthy food or Chinese herbs. This soup is beneficial to people have constipation problem.
