Ingredients:
2 Chicken thighs, cut into serving pieces
5 slices carrot
8 pieces button mushroom
1 piece green capsicum
5 pieces anise
875ml (3 ˝ cups) water
1 tablespoon oil
Seasoning Ingredients:
2 tablespoon dark soy sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 pinch sugar
1 teaspoon black vinegar
Thickening Sauce ingredients:
1 teaspoon corn flour
2 tablespoon water
(mix well in a bowl)
Method:
Put 3 cups water, seasoning ingredient and chicken into a saucepan
or wok. Heat up until boiling and change to low heat, continue to
braise for 5 minutes, set aside. Heat up 1 tablespoon oil into a new
frying pan, sauté mushroom until fragrant, add carrot, capsicum,
chicken and ˝ cup water, cook till boiling. Stir in the Thickening
Sauce and continue to cook for 1 minute. Ready to serve.
