ABC Soup Recipe / Potato with Carrot and Tomato Soup Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 red onions, quartered

  • 4 medium carrots

  • 4 medium tomatoes

  • 6 potatoes, remove skin

  • 2 stalks celery (optional)

  • 10pcs ground pepper, smashed

  • 600 g pork ribs or chicken, use either one or both together, cut into serving pieces

  • 8 cups (2 liter) water
     

Method:

Cut carrots, tomatoes, potatos and celery to serving size. Scald the sparerib by put the sparerib in a heat proof bowl; add in boiling water, drain. Add 8 cups water in a pot, bring to boil. Pour in all ingredients and bring to boil again. Reduce to low heat and slow cook for 2 hours. Add in salt while still hot and ready to serve.

Health tips:

Rich lycopene in carrot and tomatoes is believed to help protect against heart disease and some cancer.  Onion is also well known of its cardiovascular and cancer prevention benefit.
